Merson Law has compiled a list of Roman Catholic Priests and Clergy members (the Wyoming priest sex abuse list) accused of sexual abuse and/or sexual assault of minors. The Sexual Assault team at Merson Law specializes in Catholic Clergy and Priest Sex Abuse and Sexual Assault cases.

This information found in this list is compiled from the Database of Publicly Accused Priests and does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty.

Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements.

Wyoming Priest Sex Abuse List

Merson Law’s Wyoming Priest Sex Abuse List was compiled from accounts of sexual abuse by a member of the Wyoming Catholic Church network. The names in this list are only those that have been found to be credible, however it is likely that there are names missing, due to the sheer number of accounts and the historical aversion to transparency by the Catholic Church.

This list is not endorsed by the Archdiocese, which has yet to release the names of priests found guilty through its own internal investigations.

Chleborad Gerald Cheyenne, WY Arrested in 1995 for public lewdness, assigned at the time to a Jackson parish. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 6/12/19. It notes allegations of abuse of three adolescent males, occurring 1984-85, 1995, 2003. Reportedly, more accusations in 2016. Suspended, faculties removed, and retired.
Colibraro Philip Cheyenne, WY Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 6/12/19. It notes one allegation of abuse against Colibraro, of an adolescent male in 1965. Deceased.
Jablonowski Anthony Cheyenne, WY Ordained for the Diocese of Covington, KY. Transferred in 1980 to the Diocese of Cheyenne, then in 2000 to the Diocese of Steubenville. Pled no contest to 2004 charges of abusing a 17-year-old boy in 1982. Sentenced to 15 months to 7 years in prison. Privileges removed. Another accuser filed civil suit 3/05. Released from prison 7/05. Required to register as sex offender. Worked in several dioceses . On Tucson’s list of abusive priests, referred to as Steubenville priest. Laicization announced 6/06. Registered offender in FL as of 2010. Had been living in OH. On Steubenville diocese’s list 10/31/18. On Cheyenne diocese’s list 6/12/19. It notes four adolescent male victims, abuse occurring 1983-88. Laicized.
Murray John Cheyenne, WY Accused in a lawsuit in 11/08 of sexually assaulting a teen girl at least four times 1976-77, while assigned to St. Anthony’s in Casper. She began to suffer anxiety attacks and nightmares in 2003; told her doctor and in 2005 told police. In 2006 Murray pled guilty to engaging in indecent liberties with a minor; given five years probation. Had been volunteering at St. Anthony’s; placed on leave without privileges. He mentioned two girls. Violated probation 10/08 and spent a week in jail. Case settled 1/09. On diocese’s list 6/12/19. Noted to be retired and prohibited from active ministry.
Power James Cheyenne, WY Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 6/121/9. Accused of abusing of five adolescent males 1958-72. Reportedly transferred to Torrington after allegations, continued to abuse, then was sent “back to Ireland.” Deceased.
Prado Cletus Cheyenne, WY Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 6/12/19. Accused of abusing two adolscent males, 1958-63 and 1977-78. Faculties were removed and he retired. Deceased.
Tellez George Cheyenne, WY Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 6/12/19. Three allegations of abuse against him of adolescent females, 1966-71. Left ministry to marry. Laicized.

Please note that this Wyoming priest sex abuse list is not an exhaustive and complete list because new information of sexual abuses and sexual assaults by priests and clergy of the Roman Catholic Church becomes available daily.
