Jesse Mautner is an Associate at Merson Law, PLLC. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2019, where he was president of the Law School’s Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship, and an editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He earned his B.A in Legal Studies and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016.
Mr. Mautner’s motivation to fight for the vulnerable started while working at the New York Legal Assistance Group. While there, he assisted the Mobile Legal Help Center and Total Life Choices units in providing free legal services to low-income clients with employment, healthcare, and housing disputes. He also assisted elderly clients with the drafting and execution of wills and health care proxies.
Mr. Mautner began his career at Merson Law as a legal intern in 2017. Since then, he has served the firm as a law clerk, conducting legal research and drafting complaints and motions for cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury and sexual assault. As an Associate, he looks forward to engaging with clients from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds who are suffering due to the negligence of health care providers, employers and government agencies. His ultimate goal is to get these clients the compensation they rightfully deserve, and will require, to get on with their lives.
