Alison McNamara

Alison (“Ali”) McNamara joined Merson Law, PLLC in 2025.  She received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School and she received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Williams College. 

During her time at Brooklyn Law School, Ms. McNamara was a student clinician for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York where, under the supervision of Assistant United States Attorneys, she  represented the government in the investigation and prosecution of misdemeanors and petty offenses in federal court.  Ms. McNamara was also the president of the International Law Society for the academic year 2023-2024.  Ms. McNamara has prior experience as a legal intern advocating for clients harmed by artificial reproductive technology (“ART”) and working as a legal intern in the General Counsel’s Office at New York University.

Prior to law school, Ms. McNamara was a member of the Dean’s Office at New York University School of Law. At Williams College, Ms. McNamara was a student counselor for the Rape and Sexual Assault Network (“RASAN”), where she provided support to survivors of violence and developed her passion for advocating for victims of sexual abuse and relationship violence.  At Williams College, Ms. McNamara was also an All-American athlete and captain of the Varsity Swim Team.
