Colleen Carlo
Colleen has been with Merson Law since its founding and brings over 20 years of legal experience. As Office Manager, she oversees firm operations and supports the team across all areas of legal practice.

Melanie Hernandez
Melanie has worked as a litigation paralegal focusing primarily on sexual assault and medical malpractice cases for nine years. While overseeing all client-firm communication, Melanie is the firm’s Managing Paralegal. Her main goal is to ensure that all clients expectations are met. She also manages case status, making sure all attorneys are prepared for trials, hearings and closings.
Melanie earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree at Mercy College and minored in Psychology.

Kamelle Delfin
Kamelle has been working as a paralegal for nine years and has handled some of the largest cases in the firm. She primarily focuses on Sexual Assault and Medical Malpractice litigation matters.
She graduated from University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media studies.

Kelly Yanes
Kelly Yanes works as a paralegal handling mainly medical malpractice and personal injury matters. She primarily focuses on ensuring that the attorneys have what they need to move these cases towards a resolution as quickly as possible. Kelly handles all lien recovery, including Medicare and Medicaid, Military insurance and various other subrogation departments.

Nicole Lefkowitz
Nicole works as an Office Coordinator; organizing press conferences, planning company functions, taking an active role with the firm’s Media content, as well as planning and coordinating the firm’s CLE’s. Nicole graduated from The University of Delaware with a B.A. in Economics. Nicole enjoys aiding the team; providing tools to the firm; whatever the case, project, or task may be, to ensure everything runs as efficiently and smoothly as possible.

Dana Crispi
Dana Crispi has been with our firm since October 2019. Early in her career, she assisted on high-profile cases against the estate of Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein. She is currently a part of our CVA Team, BSA Team and contributes to dozens of medical malpractice cases, taking an active role in the medical and legal issues underlying her cases. Dana completed her degrees in Political Science and English Literature at Hunter College during her time with our firm.

Grace Choi
Grace joined Merson Law in 2020 and has over 8 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury, medical malpractice and trial prep. She graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Grace focuses mainly on personal injury cases and medical malpractice cases such as birth injury and wrongful death.

Katie LaWare
Katie has over 16 years of experience providing support in all phases of litigation, with a focus in medical malpractice. She graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. When she is not in the office helping out clients, she is either traveling, doing yoga, or spending time with her loved ones.

Abigail Summa
Abigail joined Merson Law in November 2024 after graduating from SUNY Cortland with a degree in English. Abigail handles client intake and supports the legal team throughout the entire litigation process, particularly in matters involving medical malpractice, sexual abuse, and product liability. Abigail hopes to one day become a lawyer herself and continue making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
