The Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh announced Tuesday that it has gone live with its program to compensate victims of clergy sex abuse.

In order to qualify, you may need an Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program Lawyer, also known as an IRCP Lawyer or IRCP Attorney.

On December 13, 2018, the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (the “Diocese”) announced the formation of the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program (Pittsburgh Diocese IRCP) to compensate victims of clergy sexual abuse of minors by clergy of the Diocese.

The Diocese has retained Kenneth R. Feinberg and Camille Biros, to serve as Administrators of the IRCP and to begin work effective January 22, 2019

The key features of the Pittsburgh Diocese IRCP are as follows:

• The Pittsburgh Diocese IRCP is purely voluntary; no individual is required to participate in the Program.
• To register, please provide you name, contact information, and a summary description of the nature of the claim, including the dates and location of the abuse and name of the perpetrator. Or simply contact us.
• New complaints of abuse received through the Pittsburgh Diocese IRCP must be reported to the local office of the District Attorney and to the Archdiocese for review. This is extremely complicated and daunting.
