Summary of Experience
Jesse Mautner is an Associate at Merson Law, PLLC. Jesse earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2019, where he was the President of the Law School’s Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship (“CUBE”) and a managing editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. Jesse earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016, where he double-majored in Legal Studies and Sociology.
Jesse’s motivation to fight for the vulnerable started while he was interning at the New York Legal Assistance Group (“NYLAG”) in New York City. While at NYLAG, Jesse assisted the Mobile Legal Help Center and Total Life Choices units in providing free legal services to low-income New Yorkers with a range of employment, healthcare, and housing issues. Jesse also assisted elderly New Yorkers with the drafting and execution of end-of-life documents, including Last Wills and Testaments and health care proxies.
Jesse began his career at Merson Law as a legal intern in 2017. Since then, Jesse has served the firm as a law clerk, conducting legal research and drafting complaints and motions for cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and sexual assault. As an Associate, Jesse has continued to engage with clients from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds who are suffering due to the negligence of health care providers, employers, and government agencies. Jesse’s ultimate goal is to get his clients the compensation that they rightfully deserve, and will require, to move forward with their lives.
