In recent years, he secured the largest personal injury jury verdict in New York County, not once, but twice. Notably, a $28 million verdict for a former New York Giants player in a medical malpractice case not only underscored Merson’s legal prowess but also garnered widespread media attention, a testament to his ability to command both courtroom and public discourse. - 2018: Beat his own record with a $28 million award from a Westchester jury, marking the largest contested, compensatory jury verdict against an institution in New York State History for a child sexual assault victim.
- 2019: Achieved a $14 million verdict for another child sex abuse victim.
- 2020: Represented a client in another “no pay” medical malpractice case at trial and achieved a jury verdict of more than $6 million.
Merson is a graduate of Fordham Law School and former co-captain of the basketball team, which won the division championship at Madison Square Garden. He received his Bachelor of Science in Communications magna cum laude from Boston University.
