NY Archdiocese Independent Reconciliation Compensation Program
Have you been a victim of sexual abuse by a member of the clergy?
What can you do to protect your rights? The NY Archdiocese has established a program to compensate the victims of child sex abuse. The program is VOLUNTARY until you accept money.
For those who have previously told the NY Archdiocese about the sexual abuse they endured, the deadline for filing a claim was January 31, 2017. However, there may be a way to help you and you should contact a lawyer immediately for more details.
For those who have not previously told the NY Archdiocese about the sexual abuse that they suffered, there is no deadline at the present time and you can file a claim under Phase II of the Program. Contact a lawyer experienced in the IRCP so that you know your rights. A DEADLINE MAY BE SET AT ANY TIME, SO DO NOT DELAY.
