Reports released in August of 2018 documented abuse by eleven former staff members at Phillips Exeter Academy. The abuse occurred over several decades, and according to the reports included fondling, forced kissing, and “other sexual misconduct.”
Sadly, like in many instances of such misconduct, Phillips Exeter Academy deliberately failed to address the issue, and in some cases did not record or report the misconduct. Because of this, several staff members were able to obtain employment at other schools after the abuse occurred.
